Egg Donors in Laos
Our Egg donor program in Laos is among the very best in the country. We only use egg donors that are under the age of 30 and live a healthy lifestyle. In fact, most of our egg donors are university students looking to make extra money to help pay for their tuition. We have both full Thai, Thai/Chinese, and half Thai, half Caucasian egg donors to choose from.
Proven donors
We have a “Proven egg donor” program. A proven donor is an egg donor that has donated in the past that led to a successful cycle. Her eggs were tested and are of superior quality. Most of the time, these types of donors produce more than 12 eggs. In many cases, our proven donors have produced between 20 to 30 eggs. For this program, we do charge a bit more since many of our patients are seeking these types of donors. Our patients can also select our proven donors based on their IQ, their educational background, their lifestyle, their interests and hobbies, and their parent’s medical history. Additionally, our patients can meet with perspective donors and select the one they like most.
First time egg donors
Our second egg donor program is using first time egg donors. These egg donors have never donated before. We test their eggs to ensure the quality is good and they are healthy enough to donate their eggs. There may be reasons why our patients prefer to select a first time donor. One reason is they may not want to have their children having half-brothers or half-sisters born to couples around the world.
We offer these two services because we understand all couples have different ideas and thoughts regarding this sensitive issue. We provide the intended parents with the choice of selecting a known or anonymous donor to supply their eggs.
All of our egg donors undergo a questionnaire that includes questions about physical characteristics, personality, medical history, and other important factors. She will also undergo psychological and medical screening to ensure the highest quality egg donation. During the first phase of the egg donation process, the donor will often be asked to take birth control pills to regulate her menstrual cycle, as well as fertility drugs to increase the amount of mature eggs her ovaries will produce. They are typically self-administered every single day, with the fertility doctor monitoring their progress and effect on the egg donor. In the second phase around day 11, 12, or 13, mature eggs are retrieved from the egg donor through trans-vaginal ultrasound aspiration, a medical procedure performed under anesthesia. The fertility doctor will carefully insert a needle into each individual ovary, withdrawing mature oocytes from the follicles. Following the relatively simple procedure, the egg donor will typically remain in the fertility hospital for a few hours before being allowed to return home. The fertility doctor will also give antibiotics that the egg donor will take for about a week to ten days to avoid any potential infection. Potential side effects include, but are not limited to: bloating, nausea, swelling of the injection sites, cramping, or mood swings. These are caused by the fertility drugs and do not affect everyone. Egg donors should notify their fertility doctor if they experience any unusual symptoms. Though rare, egg retrieval can cause infection or bleeding. Additionally, some egg donors may experience psychological stresses in evaluations, medical procedures, and future emotional reactions.
